Horse Of the month

This month we are celebrating the one and only Danny Boy!

Danny Boy is a 25 year old Welsh pony with a heart as big as his story. He was purchased and trained as a 3 year old by Stephanie Johnson Grenniger. At age 5, he was sold to the Rich family, where he spent 10 wonderful years with three adorable little girls creating countless memories.

At 15, Dani was generously donated to Bit N Bridle Stables to teach lessons and do camps. Coming full circle the original owner now had two little girls of her own to love on him. From there, Danny went on to live with Hailey and Ellie at Brookside Farms, where he attended horse shows and lessons in the Cities. He proudly packed his girls around the show ring and continued doing what he does best, taking care of his riders.

When the girls eventually outgrew him, Danny returned home to Bit N Bridle, where he became a huge part of the lesson program and horse camp. He has helped shape so many young riders over the years and continues to be a steady, trusted teacher.

His very best friend is Cowboy, a friendship that started back at Brookside Farm and has carried on ever since. 

Danny Boy’s journey has truly come full circle, and we are so lucky to have him as part of our barn family with Julie Harter. Thank you, Dani, for every lesson, every ribbon, and every little rider you’ve helped build confidence in.
